We have installed a new webmail server. You can visit it at:
You can use the server both to send and receive turns, either instead of or in addition to sending and receiving them by email.
Some corporate firewalls may not permit the use of port 88 (that is the bit
after the colon in an IP address), so this may not work for everyone.
This webmail server only allows two kinds of traffic:
Text and files from your private webmail box to us.
- Text and files from your private webmail mailbox to us.
- Files from us to your private webmail mailbox.
When you send us text or files (your orders), we will quickly respond with a receipt to let you know that we have received the text or file. This notification will be sent to your webmail mailbox, not through the internet to an email address.
Files from us to your private webmail mailbox.
When we send turns to your webmail mailbox, we will also send you a small reminder via the internet to your email address, letting you know that a game has been run and that you have a turn (or turns) to download from your webmail mailibox. This service does not replace the current sending of turns through the internet to your email address, it is in addition to that service, and will therefore be of use if you have a problem with your email address, or on any day that the internet is running slow.
Keep your userID and password safe. If you give them to another player, they
will be able to access your turn files for all your games.
You can ask us if you need a reminder of your password. You cannot change
your password for something more convenient. If you need a new password
because someone else knows yours, get in contact and we'll organise a new one for you.
Your account has only so much space in it. So please remove turns as quickly as
For the present, both this server and the old METurn.com server will be available for use. However, it is possible that in future the old METurn.com server will be closed, so we would encourage you to use this one in preference.
If you have any questions about how to use this service, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
